ONTARIO (COALITION) SOCIETY OF SENIOR CITIZENS’ ORGANIZATIONS (OCSCO)

OCSCO is a provincial organization based in Toronto and a registered charity. Founded in 1986, the organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life for Ontario's seniors through education programs, policy and research, information, referral, counseling, research materials, outreach and support, self-help and volunteer programs. Our membership includes over 160 seniors' organizations and individuals representing 500,000 senior citizens across Ontario.

Every year at the OCSCO Annual General Meeting a retiree from Ontario is recognized for his or her volunteer work by being presented with the very prestigious Dan Benedict Award.

This year we are proud to announce one of our Chapter members, Ron Michaud is the recipient of this award.

Ron has been a driving force behind the success of the Medication Awareness Program; he is past Vice-chairperson and Recording Secretary of our retiree’s chapter, he is a past board member with OCSCO, a current board member with the Nickel Centre Credit Union and a regular volunteer at Local Union and retiree functions.

Congratulations Ron and keep up the good work.
